New week, Newly inked

I've been gone a month. Yikes! Where did the month go? We finished up the school year, moved the kids' bedrooms around, painted two rooms and got new carpet in three, had VBC, and started spending time at the park and pool. I think I figured out where the month went. ;-D In the process of shifting the kids' bedrooms, I'm moving my craft area to a new room. Of course, I'm finding old/new treasures that I've forgotten about and deciding to release some things. I'm determined for everything to have a place and to not hang on to things 'just because'. We'll see how long my determination holds. lol

Today's card is super simple, but gets the point across.
I LOVE this sentiment. Thanks to my friend, Terry, for alerting me that Michael's has some new Studio G sentiments!
Thanks for looking!
Today I'm grateful for: gorgeous weather, spicy black bean chicken, 4 year old starting to read on her own, carrying a HUGE stack of books out of the library, and my wonderful husband

Stamps: Inkadinkadoo Floral Flourishes, Studio G sentiment

40 is Fabulous

Party Time Tuesdays Challenge #2 is to have numbers on your card front.
I printed the sentiment and double stamped the flowers and outer happy birthdays. A bunch of pearls and a Scor-pal line for added dimension and it's ready to go.

I love this quote! Sometimes it takes a crazy week to make you truly appreciate your down time. Hard to believe, but our week will be even busier than normal, so I'm holding on to this one and using it as this week's mantra.

I saw this meditating panda in the $1 section at Joann's and had to make him mine! He's adorable and only $1, how could I say no? giggle I couldn't!
Because he's a panda, there's not much coloring here. To give him a little bit extra, I used the black glaze pen on his eyes, ears, paws.

I bought Inkadinkado's Garden Delight set about a month ago. I loved it, had to have it, had a Michaels coupon, bought it....and haven't used it until now. WHY do I do that???
Very simple card highlighting one of my favorite Bible verses, Proverbs 3:5. The verse appears simple, but is one of the most difficult for me to follow.
'Trust in the Lord' - check.
'with all your heart' - check.
'lean not on your own understanding' - erm, oops, this is the hard part. Sometimes check, sometimes fail this part, but I'm still trying. Fortunately for me, He's always forgiving.

Today I'm grateful for: beautiful sky, hot coffee, good ASL class, lunch with Mom, Revlon Steel Her Heart nail polish (the grey I've been searching for)
