Have you heard of Curtain Call? They're new and I've been waiting to see their very first challenge.
It's a Nautical inspiration challenge. Not whining, but I am not a nautical person. I am from STL and there's no ocean for oh half a continent :) I have no nautical stamps save Changito Pirate. I have 'beachy' and 'pool', but no 'boats'. Again, save a monkey's pirate ship and that set doesn't even have an anchor I could use. So, I had to let the challenge percolate for a while. The deadline is looming and I had to get to it.
This is what I came up with:
The colors are bright, there is a boat, and there is 'water'. Other than that, it doesn't strike me as very 'nautical', but it was fun to try anyway.
I'm looking forward to the next Curtain Call! Go check them out!
Thanks for looking!
Today I'm grateful for: family movie night, Scott's cut is healing, beautiful summer weather, cuddling my girl, and tomatoes turning red
Paper and star brads from Who Knows How Long I've Had That stash
Clever way to "feel nautical!" the chevrons make super fun waves! thanks so much for playing along at the Curtain Call!

ReplyDeleteWay behind on my comments. But better late then not at all. This is super cute. I live near the water, But would still have trouble with a Nautical inspiration card. I think you did a great job.
