Just Us Girls Challenge #665 is a color challenge:

This is also a New week, Newly inked.  The set is from 2011 and I've only used 1 stamp.  Where's the Shame Nun?

Thanks for looking!

Today I'm grateful for: melba toast, cute socks, 62* in FEB!, peach tea, and smiles from kids missing a tooth or two

Stamps: Unity Nov '11 KOTM 'take your time'
Extras:  CB Heart Blocks folder

Happy Birthday, Hannah!

A not-so-young anymore friend is turning...gulp...15!  I remember being so excited when her mom told me she was on the way and now she's a young lady. sigh

Here's the card we sent her:

And a pocket inside for the iTunes card.

Thanks for looking!

Today I'm grateful for:  cold enough to wear a sweater, cat sleeping in sun patch, Diva's joy when she remembered it was dance day, brothers both proud of her counting by 2s to 100, and mail carrier leaving dog treat in mailbox for Soph

Stamps: The Stamps of Life HappyBday2You
Extras:  CB Happy Birthday folder

New week, Newly inked

When I saw Pajama Christopher and Olivia, I *had* to have them. I love footed pjs on kids. It was a sad day when the boys decided they were too big to wear them. sniff sniff I couldn't decide which to use first, so today's a two-fer.

Christopher is colored up like Devon. His favorite pair was red, so his card is red to match.

Christopher is removable and is a magnetic bookmark. Devon may think he's too big for footed pjs, but he'll never outgrow reading. ;-) While he thought the card was cute, the bookmark got a 'COOOOOOL!'.

Olivia, of course, is colored to look like Emily in her favorite color. Shockingly, she doesn't actually have purple footed pjs, but if she did I have no doubt she would rock them with glittery pig tail holders.
I inked my CB folder gasp! then ran the same ink pad across the top to really highlight the dots.

These hearts sparkle like you wouldn't believe. Very hard to photograph, very 'oooh, pretty, Momma' in person.

Thanks for looking!

Today I'm grateful for: storytime, a Wonder Pets snack of celery and peanut butter, fuzzy slippers, leave-in conditioner, crisp smell of cold air

Stamps: Pajama Christopher, sentiment ?, Pajama Olivia
Paper: Michaels
Extras: Spots and Dots and Swiss Dots CB folders, corner rounder, magnets, heart punch, MM Letter, glitter hearts ?

Spooky Mojo

My take on Mojo Monday sketch 109:
The sketch called for a bow, but I am bow challenged. I tried, but gave up and just tied a knot.
Stamps are Studio G. I took a deep breath and inked my CB folder with SU Going Gray (it wiped clean whew!) and I love the spooky web effect.

Thanks for looking!

Today I'm grateful for: another warm day, HoHos during spelling, laughing with the kids, cute photos, Mozart

Scrap Stack Diving

My brother's birthday card:
"Hope your birthday is ... cool" nyuck nyuck

The penguin dude was colored and just hanging out on the table. I thought he was silly enough to use for my baby brother's birthday. He just loves it when I call him that! I used Taylored Expressions Cupcake Challenge #73. I found the dp in my scrap stash and have no idea who made it. I dug around a bit more, found the green and yellow cs and ran them through the Bug to echo the circles on the dp.

Thanks for looking!

Today I'm grateful for: a fun afternoon with my brother's family, a bit of rain for the garden, fetch with the dog, Vanilla-Grapefruit shower gel, giggling with my 3 year old while painting her nails

Happy Birthday, Mom!

Simple, but I think cute, card for my mom's birthday.
I stamped the cupcakes three times and popped each layer up on pop dots.
Thanks for looking!

Today I'm grateful for: Mom, pink and cocoa combo, chocolate Special K, walk with kids, good books

Thanks for Asking!

Tomorrow is the anniversary of our engagement. This is going in my husband's lunch tomorrow.
All those hearts from my Bible study Valentines http://hartsfull.blogspot.com/2009/02/3d-thursday.html were sitting on the table with this cb embossing folder and this simple card came together.

Thanks for looking!

Day 12 - Today I took a good candy bar (Cinnabon Caramel Pecan Cluster) to a great friend....and didn't eat the half she offered back to me. I told you she was a great friend. ;-D

Today I'm grateful for: my 'village' of women, children with giving hearts, my daughter's little hand in mine as we shopped, sugar cookie shampoo, the rain stopped - 3.5" overnight is enough

3D Thursday

My Valentine's treats for my 2nd/3rd grade Bible study class.

Inside is a fun size bag of M&Ms. The bag is 3"x4", should you ever need to know that...and, yes, I measured. To accommodate the M&Ms, I cut white cs into 4"x9" strips and scored it at 3", 3.5", and 7.5". I punched two hearts in the small top panel, embossed the bottom front panel, adhered the M&Ms with a pop dot and sealed with a sticker. Super easy and super quick because I had 18 to make and laundry calling. After I took the photo I realized it kind of looks like a face. Maybe next time no embossing with 'Happy Valentines Day' stamped for the mouth?

From the side
And the yummy inside
My daughter was so not happy with me when I told her these were not for her.

Thanks for looking!

Day 6 - Today I gave away a cross stitch kit.

Today I'm grateful for: my kids are healthy, my feather duster, warmer weather, time to play outside, chicken pot pie

New week, Newly inked

For Mojo Monday 72 http://mojomonday.blogspot.com/2009/02/mojo-monday-72-contest.html With all the layers and that SU Filligree brad, this card is *heavy*, definitely a 'hand-over'.

I found the stamp at Hobby Lobby on clearance for $3.50. I'm not as in to House Mouse as some of my friends (you know who you are, T), but for that price I had to bring it home. I finally got the CB heart folder AND used it before Valentines Day - yay me! All paper is from the Making Memories Sabrina pack.

Thanks for looking!

Day 3 - Today I gave the gift of time. I called a friend who is having some very serious marriage issues and listened, then prayed for her situation.

Today I'm grateful for: my solid marriage, my wonderful husband, bubbles, fetch with the dog, pink glitter heart stickers

So Sweet

Thanks to my PSF, Kristie, for the cutie pie image.
I colored her hair light brown because she makes me of my daughter. I used a silver Spica for the buckle and clear Spica on all the white parts. For the trim on the hat, I went over the paper until it started to pill, then ruffed it up with my fingernail. It has a bit of texture that way.
Today I'm grateful for: Christmas carols while decorating the tree, my husband found out he has a week and a half off for Christmas - yay!, I guessed on my cousin's gift and got something on his list, listening to the boys playing with their little sister, all three kids erupting into laughter at 'Bad Squishy!' (any Nemo fans?)

Scrap Stack Diving

My scrap pile is growing, so I've decided Saturdays are for Scrap Stack Diving.
The butterfly dp strip and the purple behind it came from the scrap stack. The dp is from so long ago I can not remember the maker. There was enough of the purple paper to punch the four butterflies. The purple rhinestone flowers are the last four from the package and the pearls on the purple butterflies are almost the end of that package as well. The ivory base was run through the Cuttlebug with the Tapestry embossing folder.
Today I am grateful for: Sleeping in, game time with my kids, puffy clouds, Christmas carols, and vanilla vodka in Diet Pepsi
