New week, Newly inked

This stamp has lived here for .... I'm embarrassed to say ... years. Finally, it saw ink.

St. Louis is the home of the Cardinals, both the baseball team and the birds. We have a pair that visit our yard -- the birds, not the players -- and they are gorgeous. This one I made male and kept the rest of the card super simple to keep the focus on him. I think he likes it that way. ;-) I inked the stamp with Marvy markers, then colored Mr. Cardinal with several layers of pencil.
