I'm on the fence whether I should keep this old SU! set and I decided to use it one more time.  I inked the cup with kelly green and again with coffee bean.  I love the look, it's a cool mottled stone look in person.

Wednesday Devon Challenge

Devon decided to get into the act this week. He chose this dp and the sentiment stamp.
I used the CAS CPS 149. Because 'one' at a time isn't always correct, I added the numbers on the right. ;-)

Snow Much Fun

Mojo Monday Week 119 was an interesting sketch. I knew I wanted to use SU Snow Angels and I knew that flower shape on the sketch was going to be a snowflake. There's something just so joyful about making snow angels.

I used the Stardust pen to trace the markings in the snow and put dots down each arm of the snowflake. The larger circle's edge was painted with Shimmerz then sprinkled with white fluff. In real life it looks like fresh powder. A bit of white fluff on the hat and scarf finished the darling little snow angel.

Today I'm grateful for: the sun glinting on the snow, coffee with vanilla cream, DVR, glitter, dog that's so fluffy after her bath

Scrap Stack Diving

I hope we can do this sometime this winter...

All paper came from the stack - yay three whole pieces smaller. lol The card is true scrap stack diving -- the image is popped up on the leftover foam after the dots are all gone. It's not cute little circles, but it works.

The little boy is colored with Koh-i-noor and OMS. Only his snow suit and boots are blended. His scarf, mittens, and trim I left 'rough' as it looks like knit to me that way. The snow I colored white, then went over with Clear Spica for sparkle.

Thanks for looking!

Today I'm grateful for: a date with my handsome husband, spinach-artichoke dip, an art book found in a used book store, cinnamon mocha at a new coffee shop, and my parents' 39th anniversary

PIRL Ornament

That's Prettier-in-Real-Life. This ornament just didn't photograph well at all, but IRL it's very pretty. You'll just have to use your imagination a bit.I started with an old CD and covered it with a cream cs circle. I stamped the image of Mary and Jesus with blue chalk ink. This is from an old Stampin Up set and it's one of my favorite Christmas stamps. I love the way the image forms a heart. I filled in the robes with Silver Bells Shimmerz and filled in Baby Jesus with clear Spica. I put a rim around the circle with the Shimmerz.
A simple loop of iridescent ribbon with silver trim turns the old CD into an ornament that is so shimmery and pretty irl - the PIRL Ornament. ;-)

Today I'm grateful for: my daughter wanting to brush my hair, my dog sleeping at my side, my son telling me I'm the best mom in the world (sure beats hearing I'm the meanest), blueberry bagels, doing long division snuggled up on the couch at math time
